Tears Of Pain
I started this song on my ipad. Played the keys parts into the ipad with a small controller. Tinkered with drums in Garageband. Imported the drums and keys from the ipad into Sonar. Nothing intellectually deep here, just some raw bluesy music. The words are real to me or have been in my distant past so I related to the simple vocals. http://snd.sc/13ibaP2

Pretty wild that you started it on a tablet. Can't go wrong with a blue song, the style represents such a large percentage of all pop/rock music. I would pull some verb off much of it.

Hey, Tim, Very nice blues song with great vocals and lots of cool elements flowing in and out of the spacious mix! The verbed clean guitar licks were just right, and I really loved the electric piano and B3 organ pads. They really added a vintage flavor to the mix. Nice work, Tim! Bob

Cool song, some of the sounds like the harmonica and vocals are a little verb heavy. Other than that really enjoyed.

Smoking and smokey. I love the retro vibe. I think the reverb nails the atmosphere. And the ep. Tres cool. And to think it started on the pad. Really enjoyed the listen. I wouldn't change nothing, but that is me. @

Hmmm, I am not sure what to say about this song. There are some things working for the song, but also some things working against it. To me it sounds like the various parts do not gel, and the over-saturation of verb and grunge an attempt to remedy that lack. Lyrically, I did not find it musical or rhythmic. The mix is very muddy. On the positive side, I think you have some really cool elements, and the harmonica turned my crank. I loved that sound. I would keep that grungy sound on the piano and harmonica and clean up the rest.

The cool thing to me is that this was done on a tablet..... I did not know a tablet was accessible as a recording platform..... live and learn.

Over all it ain't all bad but I am with the others regards the reverb and I can see where Shad is coming from it seems loose in places, but then again blues is lose. Thanks for sharing

Nice bluesy sound to this one and the vocals fit the piece just right. Very nicely done and a nice production. Peace and blessings, John
