Komplete timeline?

I kind of lost track.

Did Komplete 9 just come out or has it been out for a while?

Thanks.

best regards,
mike

March 27. I know. I might start a thread about NI "support" based on my experience. I still don't have mine.

did you order this direct from NI?
Also I think I should point out that using NI and Support in the same sentence is an Oxymoron........

mine was with an issue from battery 4.  sent an e-mail on apr. 24 got a response the 25th. sent system profiler info the 25th got a response the 26th. sent files for testing the 27th got a reply the 29th.  a couple more e-mails... a couple more test files.  issue resolved by 5/1.  turns out they were testing on a newer patch for battery that wasn't released yet and when they tried on the same release they could replicate.  funny because it was the kind of bug not too many people would find.

The just sent an email last week directing users to download patches for a few of the Komplete 9 programs. Battery 4 was one that got patched.

I'm really having a ball with Battery 4. I just picked up an Alesis performance pad to try and get all my drum programs up and running.

yeah the new browser in b4 is fricking awesome.  it's been out for two months and there has been a patch a month so far.  they're on top of this one for sure.  i love how they integrated all of the solid comp dynamics into it.

About NI support...  I have had really bad experiences with email but recently I discovered something I never knew... you can call them and they answer the phone!  I've called them 2x in the last month and got really good help and didn't have to wait on hold.  Hooodathunkit?   You have to really dig through the website to find the number but I'm really delighted and surprised that NI actually has good tech support.

I bought K9U at a special price they offered me. I wasn't gonna pay $649. Well, they sent me a defective hard drive. That was SIX WEEKS ago. The replacement just shipped yesterday.

As to calling...I finally did that last Thursday. The guy told me my replacement drive would ship last Friday.

    BS.

Their support leaves a ton to be desired. They outsourced repair of their products to a company in TX. My bad hard drive arrived there on 4/15. On 4/23 (six work days later) I got an email  saying my drive arrived. They said my issue would be resolved in "48 business hours". That's a tricky way of saying 6 more work days.

I'm not happy. These people are like the gang that couldn't shoot straight.

...You have to really dig through the website to find the number...

Since they're obviously hiding the number, and hence don't really want a whole bunch of calls, how about you paste it here so we can bombard them with calls & 'settle the score' for their 'wonderful support' track record?

Please don't.  Seriously.  Nothing good will come of it, and you'll ruin the only reliable way many of us have for obtaining NI support.

    Fair enough.

Owning a few NI things, I know better than to shoot myself in the foot.

I would only use it for help, which I've never needed except when they first started their Service Center many years ago.

I was only taking a metaphoric 'bite' at them anyway - that's all I meant.

I'm not the kind to call some one up & stir up the sh*t just because.

    It's funny,

I am setting up a new DAW so I assumed now was the best time to upgrade from Komplete 7 to Komplete 9.

After scrutinizing all the extra stuff you get in Komplete 9 I have determined that it is unlikely I will ever use any of the extra stuff.

The mouth is the only thing I have a curiosity for.

I had to remind myself that I've never used any of the N.I. vouchers I have been supplied with... so I guess I didn't really need much more than I have.

I think I'll take that budget and buy Ivory later this summer.

    Thanks for the info.

    best regards,
    mike

Ivory is really nice. One of the most playable virtual pianos I've ever used. The other sampled piano I like is the Sampletekk 7CG.
