Unknown error message

Trying to import a video (wmv) file into a blank project in Sonar X2 Studio, I get the following error message "An unknown error occurred during processing, possibly caused by an invalid parameter."  The video imports into the project with no audio.  Any help appreciated.

    This is the forum for 8.5 and older versions of Sonar, There is a forum for X series at the top of the list on the "All Forums" page.

    Not all WMVs are the same. Right click the file and select Properties - Details and look at the Video and Audio properties. That might give you a clue. One I have that works is Video: 720x480 29 frames per second, Audio: 192kbps bit rate, 2 channels, sample rate 48KHz.
