Satie - Gymnopedie #1

https://soundcloud.com/jeraldhughes/gymnopedies-1 This is a software-modeled version of Erik Satie's most famous piece, the Gymnopedie #1 for piano solo. Here I've used Pianoteq to differentiate the right and left hand parts. The melody is [simulated] close-miked with physical modeling parameters to give longer sustain, while the chord and bass accompaniment is simulated distant-miked, different reverb, and normal piano-like sustain. Since this is MIDI, it also gives me the opportunity to use different piano sustain pedalings for the right and left hands; I can hold the pedal down for the melody, while lifting for the chord changes.
