Why I think FedEx is special

I got a phone call at 8:34a.m. this morning from FedEx.

"our driver can't find your house, the package must have a wrong address"... "Where's your house?".

I explained that they do indeed have the correct address and that I have a mailbox with a number on it.

I also pointed out that Frankie from FedEx dropped off a package at my house on Friday.

The phone rep says that it is all straightened out and they'll try again soon.

At 6:27p.m. Amazon emails me and says "FedEX says you are using the wrong address... you should contact them and work it out".

I don't even know how to begin to explain that we've all been doing business with my same street address for 15-20 years.

It's like a domino effect that was caused by the driver's inability to find my house.

That's special.

At least Randy, my UPS pro delivery expert, will be bringing me my fancy color SATA cables in a few minutes. Right on schedule.

Yikes.

best regards,
mike

my  favorite for missing addresses is DHL...they cannot seem to find an address at the end of a dead end road...with the numbers 12" high in florescent yellow....sigh.

Never had a problem with UPS or FedEx finding my house.

It does remind me of a friend who lived at a house with a "9" in his address.  Back when Dominoes had a 30 minutes or it's free deal, he would call them up, change the "9" to a "6" until the time was up then change it back.  The driver would eventually show up and wonder how he missed the place.  He lived across the street from the SDSU dorms so you'd think they'd catch on, ya?

    LOL,

I think Randy from UPS and the FedEX newbie just met each other in the driveway.

GoGo likes Randy. He walked the FedEx driver in and we all had a big laugh. :-)

    :-)

    Good times.

My problems start when I try to order things from some web sites. As I fill out the delivery address, (street address)  which is different from the billing address (PO Box)... every so often it will kick the order back out of the system saying "Address does not exist"...... oh really? That's news to me.... I've been here for almost 30 years...... I think it has existed for most of that time....

I normally have to call the company and speak to a person to get it straightened out and the item on the way.
