CLEAN Has a nice spooky vibe to it - I like it. Hi Mark thanks , yea its funny I was thinking the same and was thinking some spookie kind of lyrics and vocals might go well with this music . I'm sort tossing that ideal around in my head , might have to warm up the microphone and get a feel for it and see where that takes me . Thanks for the listen and comment - James

Sounds good James, if you could send me the track for the guitar without the FX on it I wouldn't mind seeing what I can add to it just to give you an idea as to what you might possibly be able to add to it. Sound good like it is, I'm just saying I know your having trouble with FX and I'd be more than happy to see if I could figure it out. That's the great thing with VST's and recoirding, you have the option using the raw sound of always changing things. Either way, I thought it sounded good, it's not easy I know. Sometimes inspiration takes over, sometimes hard work pays off and sometimes you just have to knuckle up and say ok this is what I've got for now I hope ya like it but if not I' can take the critics for my efforts and learning process. Your getting there James, Learn every note on the guitar, that's my advice, when practicing scales hum them or say AH - EEEEE - or OOOOOOH- it helps with recognition and also can help your voice build if you wanna sing later on. I wish I would have done all that starting out playing the guitar. Either way, Keep up the good work buddy, just make sure and have some fun with what your doing from time to time and not be so serious on everything!! Bobby

Hi, James, Great job on this smooth electronica song, and it seems like your guitar is coming along nicely! As Mark mentioned, the song does have a bit of a cool spooky vibe to it and also a bunch of nice laid back textures flowing through it. Nice job, keep up the good work! Bob

Bobby Thanks Bobby , I'll contact you with your request . I'm doing the best I can learning on my own but hopefully after we move to Nashville,TN I want to start taking some guitar lessons right now I can't afford to spend the extra money on guitar lessons . Bob Thanks Bob , its been slow for me creating another tune because of all the personal stuff going on with me at home and then buying my drums and guitar . Getting the guitar setup , my finger tips hardened and figuring out how to work with Guitar Rig 4 was a big time waster but I now have everything working so I should be able to spend more time working on my guitar practice and creating some music . Thanks for taking the time to listen and leave me a comment on this electronic tune I created , I agree the second section does bave sort of a spookie vibe to it which is cool I sort liked it when I started creating that sound . Thanks Bob ROCK ON Buddy ! James

James, you're making quick progress on the guitar. I would rely less on the guitar effects and work on getting a nice strong guitar tone. While the effects work with this excellent little vibe, they mask nuances that you might not develop if you are forced to work with guitar tone. I'm not against effects, certainly I use compression and EQ and a little gain, but I run very few effects. I'm not suggesting you go to my extreme, but in developing your guitar technique, learn the guitar tones first and your effects will sound even better. I also find natural guitar tones to work really well with ambient backgrounds that are highly synthesized. Good work. Daryl

Daryl Thanks Daryl for the comments and guitar advice and tips , I guess this tune was more or less an expermental song using my guitar and messing around with the Guitar Rig 4 effects . Now that this music is out of the way my main focus is guitar practice , learning some more chords and learning more about scales on the fretboard. Your right start with the basic tones first , get my foot in the pond before I dive into the pool . LOL With this tune I took a deep breath and headed right into the deepend of the pool , made alot of mistakes and posted alot of samples too many but what the hell the excitment of being able to play and create my own lead guitar tracks took over this month I guess . Hey it was great therapy so I'm not complaining atlease I know now I'm in the water swimming . LOL Thanks Daryl for the support and your comments on my playing , its not a speed race just having fun learning . Cheers -James

Just an update , today I went back in deleted my recorded drums I recorded when I started this song and replayed it again . This time I played a straight drum pattern in the first section and in the second section I added more tom fills in my pattern . I also took alittle of the reverb out of my one guitar track and slightly adjusted the volume level in that track . Thats about it , don't think there will be anymore updates unless I add vocals to it in the next two weeks or so . Thanks for listening - James

Hi James. It does sound a bit spooky but I get a bit of a different feel from it. To me it sounds as if it could be background music for the opening scene in a spy thriller (JB style). It has a cautious feel while building a bit of tension. Just a thought -- but if the guitar or lead instrument were brought to the front a bit more and varied in gain it might build on this tension a bit more. BTW, your guitar playing is coming along very well. I particularly like the fact that you jumped right into the deep end of the pool and experimented around with this number. You are not just treading water but swimming indeed. Nice job!!

So far I'm having fun with this Gibson type guitar and trying my best to learn quicky with a few hours of practice per day . If I can keep it up in a few years I should water skiing across the pool WOW lookout for that frog in the pool ! LOL Thanks for the listen and comments - James

Did you make some changes since my last reply James? Just wondering. It sound a whole lot better now in my opinion. Sounds like you got that GR4 problem figured out. The mix sounds a lot better also. This sounds like it would be a great music intro to a movie, or a movie scene where someone is going on a mission, or better yet a video game where you have movie scenes and missions. It has a broad range of potential in my opinion regardless of what you are going for. This is one I think you should try and do a video of, not just flight sims, but real pictures and real video, maybe something along the lines of what I just suggested if you can get rights to and find such video. It would be cool in my opinion. Either way, I think this sound great!! Good work man!! Bobby

Then I backed off the reverb on my guitar tracks slightly and raise the volume up a tab . That was it , thanks for the comments - James

Just for fun, I think it sound great already. I'm trying to come up with a better sound for some of my cleaner guitar parts here lately. I use Pod Farm, I know you use Guitar Rig but maybe I could send you the settings for the FX if you like the sound or something like that. Either way, sound good!! I am just requesting a video though like I mentioned earlier, and not just some planes. I wanna see a mission video. Bobby

If your doing it for your own fun thats great , anyway its your time . I thought you were working on a country song with vocals in it . Come on Bobby lets hear some guitar country music , thanks for the interest and comments again . James

Hey I did one more last remix , I went back in and tweeted my drum track making some ajustments on FX and with some drum volume levels . I wasn't please with the last mix on my guitar tracks so I made some final adjustments on those two guitar tracks . On my final remix of the entire song I made some more EQ ajustments . This is it , no more remixes for this song YEA ! Think I will mess around with some vocal effects and maybe start a new electronic song project so I can drive Robby crazy ! LOL Drink up CHEERS Robby because another song is heading your way OLD BUDDY ! LOL
