How the **** do you get NI's The Finger to work in Sonar 8.5?

Boy, sometimes software is driving me NUTS!!! I spend an hour trying to get The Finger to work in Sonar 8.5. I can load it in Reaktor 5 but no matter what I do, the effects do nothing, I can't trigger any of the effects, let alone make it resond to any keyboard output. I am ready to trash my PC due to this daft stupid plugin with a manual that's of NO help at all!!!

I only found this using search:

http://forum.cakewalk.com/tm.aspx?m=1901455

And there someone posted:

"Route the audio to a sub... Place Reaktor in the sub's FX bin (as a soft synth)...

Add a MIDI track and route it to that instance of Reaktor."

But that doesn't work because I can't seem to route that MIDI track to that sub...?

I am TOTALLY confused and pretty annoyed so I hope someone can help me here...

BTW In case you wonder why I didn't post this at the NI forum: well, I can't get access to it, no matter what. Another HIGHLY annoying thing...

Sonar 8.5 PE, Edirol FA-66, Behringer C-1. All instruments in my songs are VSTi's.

Don't have this plug-in but is it any different than any number of plug-ins that need MIDI control? The only thing that looks wrong with the process described is where the plug-in goes. When I have a plug-in effect that uses MIDI control, I put it in the audio track to be effected, then add a MIDI track with the output pointed to the plug-in. The plug-in must be configured as a synth in the Plug-in Manager so that it can receive MIDI input.

It works - set the output of you midi track to Finger - As this is a Reaktor ensemble it will probably show up as Reaktor, not the The Finger, which could be the cause of the confusion.

Its all down to the fundamentals of Sonar's audio and midi routing.

Yes! That did the trick!!! After configuring as synth and adding a new instance of ReaktorFX, now using the Synth plugin option, it finally works! Thanks!
