Class of 63 - 50 Years - Original

Wrote this song for my 50th class reunion (Class of 63 - 50 Years). I'm from a little town so the lyrics are a little esoteric. Want to impress them so I want to get the song as best as I possibly can. I hope some of them like rock music as much as me (we're getting up there).

I also put the school's song at the very end (that I didn't write). Rocked it up a bit, was a waltz if I remember correctly, and played by the school band. If you get a chance, please give it a listen and any feedback you have to offer is gladly welcomed. Want to iron out any wrinkles that I possibly can. Thanks a lot.

wow! first off: my respect to you for still rocking out - I mean, you must be at the age of my mother, in the sixties! very cool. I liked the song, and your former class mates will surely be impressed by that. I personally had the feeling that the keys were a bit too loud here and there, sometimes they are buriing your voice, so I would lower them a bit. Just my personal thoughts! Apart from that: never too old to rock! I tip my hat.

This is a great rocker Chas!

The lyrics are obviously special to you, which makes them really interesting to listen to.

    Nice job.

speedtom, thanks for the listen and for your comments. Still love music in my 60s (close to 70). Rock is my first love but I love all music.

My band recently played for my 40th high school reunion, and I had a ball... It was a pretty wild party for a bunch of old farts... I'm glad my wife didn't go... I got to flirt with a few ol' girlfriends... a couple of them tried to have their way with me...   You should have a big time...

Chas, you wrote a brilliant song for your class reunion.  Are you considering making a video of this?  My 50th is coming up in a few years, so I may try this myself.  It's always a pleasure to hear your music and productions.  Congrats!

Nat, thanks a lot. Glad you liked the song. The first reunion of mine that I went to was the 40th. Enjoyed it a lot. Have reunited with old classmates since then, even more so than I did during high school. Hope your wife doesn't read this forum.

Thanks a lot, Lynn. Glad you liked the song. Yes, will do a video of this and will include a lot of my old classmates in it. Trying to work in some funny routines and will play the video at some point during the reunion. Good luck if you decide to do a song for your 50th. Nice to know there are other old geezers on this forum besides myself.

noynekker, thanks for listening and for your comments. For the record, the last part of the song was not written by me. It is the school song for the high school that I attended.

You put together what I think will be a memorable song for that class. Everything seems to be in the right place and played very well. This is inspiring....maybe we do get better with age.

    Chas,

Great song, I am sure your class will enjoy.   Well most of them will......  Time goes so fast, I had my 30 year reunion a few years back and many of my classmates were the same, others seemed so old.  I guess we all mature differently.

This song would appeal to any age though, it is quite good and well produced.   Your vocals are really cool.....  Thanks for sharing part of your reunion with the forum....

    Regards

Starise, thank you for listening and for your comments. Certainly hope the class likes it.

markno999, you're right, people do age differently. Like you, some of my classmates seem young while others seemed to have aged so much. Makes you wonder, why? Genes, I suppose. Glad you liked the song and thanks for your comments.
