Is there a reason I can't quantize to 64th notes?
Come on - seems to me like it's just a matter of adding another option to the menu....it's the same math! Granted, not many situations when you want to quantize to 64th notes but I just had one tonight and it's infuriating....any quick workaround?

why not 128th and so on and so forth :) as for a workaround- don't know, half tempo and use quantize at half rate or something?

I don't see why not 128ths....they're still used every now and then...but 64th notes are reasonably common. I actually ended up doubling the length of the clips in question, quantizing them to 32nd notes then shortening them again. It's a PITA!

you may be right- I record audio and don't quantize stuff.

I have not tried it but you have the option to quantize to a number of clock ticks, and a setting for the number of ticks per quarter note (ppq), so doing the math you should be able to set the effective quantize to any arbitrary note length, if all you are needing to do is to set the event to the correct time/length. If you want it to look pretty in staff view, that is another issue altogether.

Good suggestion, but I agree it is dumb not to include this as a default option. 64ths are not rare, they are good for regular/measured trills and figures, and for fast runs; and they work at even very low clock resolution (e.g., 120).
