Score Printing - Help Please

Hi All,

With MC 5, I would like to print the score of a MIDI track.
I do exactly what's writting in the help tutorial but it won't work.
These are the steps that are in the help tutorial for printing:

QUOTE:

To Print a Score:

1 - Make sure the Staff view is the current window.
2 - Choose File-Print Preview.
4 - If you want, click Zoom, or click in the music, to zoom the view in and out.
5 - Click the Configure button to select a rastral size.
6 - When zoomed out, you can press Page Up and Page Down to navigate between pages.
7 - Click Print.
Music Creator displays the Windows Print dialog box, from which you can set up your printer and
print the score. Alternatively, you can choose File-Print and skip the print preview window.

    END QUOTE.

The problem is that the: File-Print Preview command (see under point 2 above) is not
showing in the File menu (on top left). Like all other WINDOWS programs.

If I hit: CTRL P on the pc keyboard I get the Staff View Print Configure pop up screen.
There I make a choice and klick OK. And then I'm stuck because nothing happens.
And nowhere again I can find the File-Print Preview command in MC 5.

Can someone help me please? And tell me what I'm missing or doing wrong?

    Thanks in advance.

    Salleke.

I need to open the program to find it.... there is a way to print from staff view but it is not very intuitive.

To say it is hidden would not be an understatement.  I plan to go into the DAW later today..... I didn't get a chance to work on music yesterday,,,,, but assuming I do today, I will look this up and the other questions on other posts too.

      OK so try this:

Open the staff view you want.

Next, click on the top tool bar FILE. This gives you a drop down menu with new, open etc...all the way down to exit..... BUT... look below the word EXIT. You will see 3  right pointing arrows..... put the mouse on those and a new window opens with the print menu. This menu should work just fine to allow you to print the staff view.

See, I told you it was hidden.

      Guitarhacker,

Indeed it was very well hidden. But with you're help now I see
the little arrows beneet 'Exit' in the File drop down menu.

      Thanks again for you're help.

      Good luck.

unfortunately, score printing is more of an after thought with MC than a useful function.

Other programs designed to do scores will do it better.

So I learnt yesterday, that the the score printing capabileties
      are very limited in MC.

Do you know of a good program that does the job better
and is free or that does not cost an arm or a leg?

I don't want to spend a lot of money for it because
I don't use it every day.

      Thanks.

      Google or bing search:

      http://musescore.org/    says it's free.

      http://sonicscores.com/   says it's affordable

      that's 2 out of many.....
