Can you automate values in Rapture ?

I actually went ahead and bought Rapture for $20 (a good deal on now). However, I was wondering if there was a way to automate some of the knob values in Rapture. I tried to create a track envelope and see what tweakable values it gave to automate but didn't find many. Is it possible? (I have Sonar Home 6XL by the way).

Right click on the knob you want to automate. That usually brings up automation options on most stuff. You'll want to take a look at the Sonar manual... um, but I'm not sure what it will say in Sonar 6. The X series gives you some pretty extensive options though.

Never seen a copy of SONAR Home Studio but there are a lot of parameters that show up in SONAR for automation. Also from the Rapture help file:
    Knobs
Parameters that are continuously variable and suited for automation are controlled by knobs. The knobs in Rapture can be operated by mouse movements, mouse wheel, keyboard, or MIDI messages.

Actually I think if you simply set the Rapture GUI to Write Automation (just press the W button) and fiddle with some knobs while recording it'll create an envelope automagically... but again I have no idea if that's how it works in Sonar 6.

Oh, when I right click on a knob a context menu comes up "MIDI learn | Add MIDI control | Change MIDI config " I chose Add MIDI control -> CC3. And then, in the midi track for Rapture I right clicked and chose midi envoleop, Control ... 3 ... Channel 1. I'll have to try it later on when I'm plugged in. (thanks)

I have sonar 8 still installed and in that you can right click in the audio track view for the audio track that rapture is using and choose envelopes/create track envelope/rapture and then draw them in. I guessing it would be the same in 6 but can't remember. One very powerful tool in rapture is the modulation matrix second button left of the rapture name.

Your Greggs Steak Bake looks far more appetising than the ones I remember eating.  Gravy and gristle filling as I recall.  Nice pastry though.

Its always the way.   My favourite is the cheese and onion.  Every half a mile in the UK there's a Greggs.  Here in the US there are none.

I miss their cherry scones.  Scones are ridiculously overpriced here in Aus, so I eat them less often now.
