Sonar X2 not responding.

I was recording guitar tracks today for the first time and when I went to save my work the program stopped responding.
I have also had it stop responding while plying around with loops and VST's. It also will not completely shut down when I close it out. I am kind of new to Sonar, but I needed something for a 64bit system.

I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit , with a MSI Z-77 M Power motherboard, Intel I-7 2300 quad core processor, 16 gig patriot 2200 RAM, New Focusrite Scarlett 2i2. Sonar X2 with the a update.

Perhaps more info are required to narrow down what might have went wrong..

What version is your X2 ? Have you update it to the latest patch yet ? Is your Focusrite new ? Have you updated the driver ? Windows updated ?

Most likely is a plugin that is not compatible with the 64bit windows environment, since it happened when you where playing with them. This also explains the non responsiveness of Sonar. Plugin will do that, if they are not ready for 64bit Windows.

Do some homework and see what plugins you used in that project and then go to each maker and see if there is a 64bit update or if they are ready for 64bit. You may just need to update some plugins.

I think the plug-ins are causing it, but I have had a problem from the start with Sonar not closing out completely, Im sure my drivers are ok, but not 100% sure.
