Recording Superior Drummer?

Hello, I'm trying to get Superior Drummer to record using sonar. I have it so far that sonar has created the drums folder for me and has given me a number of channels plus one midi channel. I have the outputs from SD mapped to sonar's inputs so that as I play a midi groove I can see the meters moving in those channels that sonar provided.

The problem is that I can't get sonar to record what I'm hearing. I have tried dragging a groove to the midi track that sonar provided, but I don't hear any sound on playback.

So, my question is what am I doing wrong? Do I need to switch something else on?

To play any soft synth you need a MIDI tracks output assigned to it.
For session drummer this is also Midi channel 10.

Put the midi data in a midi track, any midi track, you don't have to use the one created by inserting. Then assign the output to the synth you wish to play the sounds. The track next to the synth are audio tracks and won't work for midi.
