how to get kontakt to work with mpd???

I would like to get shredd x and such from kontakt to be able to be mapped with the mpd18. when I touch the pads nothing happends. is it possiable????

    Use the editor software that comes with the mpd to assign specific notes to the pads and select the mpd as the midi input in Sonar.
