Registration Number Wierdness - SOLVED

I recently upgraded my system and have moved to 64 bit X1 & X2.

I have an old mix that I have to get to and it requires X1 Producer Expanded 32 bit for all of the plugins to work right.  I installed it alongside the 64 bit programs and it worked fine except for Guitar Rig 4 which it did not detect.  This was not a surprise really since I had gotten an error message during install about Guitar Rig 4 and the installer wanting to uninstall it rather than install it.

I re-ran the X1 32 bit installer with a custom install that included only Guitar Rig 4.  I had to uninstall it and then install it fresh.  Ok.  A minor pain, but no big deal.  Here's the problem:

When I start X1 32 bit, it is asking me for my registration code.  It has the serial number for X1 Producer, but the program is X1 Producer Expanded.  The registration code that goes with the serial number is coming up as invalid - I assume because it wants to enable the expanded version.  I can't change the number in the serial number field.  I tried to re-run the Expanded installer hoping that it would at least update the serial number in the registration screen, it failed to run citing a missing version of the program.  I successfully re-ran the ExpandedX1d patch, which showed the Expanded serial number in the install sequence, but when I open the program, it still shows the non-expanded serial number in the registration dialog and will not authorize.

X1 Producer Expanded x64 is unaffected by any of this nonsense, but I really need the 32 bit version up and running with the right plugs for this mix.

Any help is appreciated,
Seth

There was a recent thread about this issue. It was resolved by calling tech support and getting assistance with a registry edit to use the X1 Expanded authentication instead of the X1 Producer.

I uninstalled and reinstalled X1 32 bit.  I made sure to not skip any steps and it's working fine now.
