The forum just got updated, so it most likely needs time for it to scan/read and update everything. This is normal, do not panic and please put down the knife. CJ

This is not about indexing,.... This is a default setting in the configuration to not allow quick successive searches. Dumb.

A lot of bots love plain and obvious text boxes with big submit buttons right next to them. The easier you make it to fill out a form, the more it is going to get hit by bots. If you've ever worked on the opposite end of a submission form, you've probably seen how quickly it happens and have felt irritated at how they can ruin a good thing (like our Documentation Feedback Form for example). We didn't design that element of the Search field, but if I were to guess it's probably like that because Guests can search, and it's probably preferable to not have thousands of search queries bogging down the forum server nonstop 24/7 because spam bots are trying to tell you about their new kitchen deals and lovely fake passports. This is my assumption at least. I could be wrong.

A couple of forums I visit require guests to enter a captcha. Log in and, walla, no captcha.

I'd argue that's even more of an inconvenience, though I'd love to see Google throw that into their home page some April 1st just to see how many folks go bananas.

I always search by going to Google (actually typed into the address bar, with Google as my default search engine in Chrome) and typing: site:cakewalk.com forum (and here would go any search terms) So, for example: site:cakewalk.com forum presonus 1818VSL audiobox sample rate Or, site:cakewalk.com forum bapu post count :) Bob Bone

+1 to the Boneman's method... I, too, use that a lot.

This is the most discouraging Cakewalk could have done to the Search engine for the forums. I posit: Q> When do we most often reach out to the forums? A> When we are trying to resolve a problem. Usually, for me in most of my cases, it's time sensative, I'm in a crunch, I'm in HURRY. LOL (Sense the Sarcasm?) The Cakewalk forums community has always been a fantastic source from a great group of people. Users that have been faithfully creating with this software DAW. I commend you all because you have always been very resourceful and intelligent with with questions and answers. Even towards my unintelligent questions. Thank you for your kindness and patience. :) Here's another question to these changes for Cakewalk's site: Is everyone happy with the online Documentation? ie. Sonar Manual Online Documentation?
