MY GUITAR WEEPS - ALL NEW !!
Here is something I have been messing around with for a few days whil I recover from a really messed up left knee leaving me in alot of pain for the past two weeks . Hi Clint I'm using a new Epiphone Ultra 339 electric guitar I purchased from SweetWater about two months ago or so . I just started playing guitar , right now my focus is on playing lead more then anything else but am working on learning how to play chords . I have a new AMP but this guitar included GUITAR RIG 4 and thats what I used here . I just bought another new set of strings for my guitar , the brand is called ERNIE BALL - SLINKY COBALT . ( 9,11,16,26,36,46 ) These new strings have a blend of IRON and COBALT in them , the guy at the music store told me they sound great so I might put them on this week-end and try them out . Sort at a dead stop right now fighting a three day bad cold , not sure where this one came from but my guess is I picked it up at the doctors office last week . Well done, James! The tone reminds me of the Robert Plant recordings of the 80's. Once you work a few chords or arpeggios in there, you will be on your way to making some serious music. You have a very active muse.

Thanks Lynn , sorry for the slow reply been under the weather for a week now with this won't go away cold . I'm having fun with this new guitar , spending more time on playing scales more then anything I guess but yea your right I need to nail down some chords and learn how to work some chords into my lead tracks . Thats funny you said Robert Plant , a friend of mine who likes my music said the same thing . Anyway as a new guitar player I'm trying to pick up speed and learn as much as I can quickly . I set a goal of two years , I hope to be rocking out in two years playing chords and lead thats my goal . Thanks again Lynn - James

Thanks Daryl , glad you enjoyed my drum track played in 6/8 time . Yea I'm really digging my new guitar , I been playing it more then my new drum kit lately . For about a month I had some really bad stuff going on with my left knee , had to see a doctor who told me after looking at my X-Ray not to put any stress on my left leg & knee . So for a month I havn't been playing my drum kit untill yesterday . I praticed for about an hour yesterday , stiff but atlease I'm playing some drums again and keeping up with that without all the knee pain and swelling I had going on before . Just my luck as soon as the knee started getting better I got hit with a nasty cold that lasted for a week , thank God all this stuff is behind me now ! Thanks Daryl -James

LOL Thanks Scotty , your right about the sweat off your fingers and strings . I picked up a few extra sets of new strings last week just in case . I'm sort trying out different types of strings hoping I will find my favorite strings before I go broke buying them but heck I guess guitar strings are way cheaper then those violin strings you have to buy OUCH !

Just started writing the lyrics for the opening first verse , I posted a small sample of my new upcoming song project last night and updated the chord progression today .
