An old album

I've been enjoying while working on a guitar...
It brings back many very good memories because the first "pro"
band I played in when I was 15 (1970) turned me on to it to learn.
I wound up playing with those old guys for 7 years. I really didn't
know how cool they were.
They were all twice my age so I didn't think they were...lol.

Maybe sounds funny but that music from 1967 sure has a lot to offer
and I highly recommend a listen if you're a six stringer.

Not real happy with the remaster but glad to hear it again.

I remember seeing the cover, but I can't remember if I heard any of the  tunes.  I really like Albert King and the blues.  I  ccheck it out.  Maybe I'll recognize some of the songs.

Should auld acquaintance be forgot--hey, who the hell are you guys?

Some say it's the best blues album ever recorded.
I sure won't argue with them.

King had a top shelf backing band for this and he sure
put "timeless" blues licks down like who'd a thought it.

I'd feel pretty bad somebody spending money on something
they wouldn't like after putting trust in me... but if you like blues I just can't imagine any of
    this one being a waste.

Includes alternate version of "bad sign" and an un-named instrumental...the type players play
to warm up. Good stuff my friends.

Hmm...  Will have to look for this one sometime.  The only album (that I know of) that I have with Albert King is a live duo he did with SRV called In Session.

Thanks. I will get this. I know many of these old albums are really great. I look forward to hearing it... I probably heard some of it growing up listening to John R. (WLAC) at night on the radio... "Ernie's Record Mart, Nashville, Tennessee, and ONLY Nashville, Tennessee, nowhere else in the world! They got them records galore at that store"

    It's a cool 16 tracks. Alternate takes.

I sure don't want to come across as stuffed but I think you're going to love it.
    So at risk...
Just think...back when Michael Bloomfield left Chicago and by the time they hit
the west coast...rock and roll was born.
Well Michael and players like Albert King were the cats that Clapton, Hendrix...on and on...
fed off of. To me it's so cool to listen to a guy that, IMO, was such a major player in
    getting rock really rolling.
He and others took the Delta Blues and did their thing...man did they.

Hope you guys enjoy it even half as much as I do. :)

I finally got this yesterday. I ordered it back when you posted this. The seller on Amazon said it was in stock> I ordered a coupl of other things and when the order arrived there was a note that it would be shipped in a few weeks. In a few weeks I got a note asking if I still wanted it because they did not have it. I cancelled the order but saw last week that Amazon had it and I added it to an order... just unwrapped it.
I got two boxed of SAM-e to try to have a better mood. Now I am wondering if the blues album will negate the effects of the SAM-e....
    Thanks again!

    Kansas City......

I think John and Paul were listening to AK as well. You sure can hear his influence on Clapton.

The concert TV show from the early 1970s, appropriately called "In Concert", had Albert King on regularly.
    And Grand Funk.
    Maybe it's youtubable.
