Nice Frank , I have to agree America is not as friendly and forgiving as it was back in the 50's and 60's . Dang I hope I'm not being taped by the FBI right now for saying this , they could be tracking me as I type ! RUN FOR HONG KONG , YIKES ! LOL
Serously I thought you did a great job creating & playing this tune , nice - James

timidi

I just got my 1st letter from the IRS...

Hate when that happens.

Yea, you could redo it or,,,,,,,,, nudge it.....

mgh
listening again...similar crits...guitar sounds a bit smoother now, but still need to bring up that sax a little. drums are perfect. i like the slightly behind the beat guitar take....;-)

Thanks again Mark... great advice...
markno999
Frank,

Beautiful rendition.   The sax is buried too deep in the mix though, it sounds mufffled and very low in the mix.  Guitar sounds amazing...

Regards

Thanks Mark (markno999) I hope to fix that on the next re-mix...

You have to pay your fair share Frank, the fact that 48% of people pay nothing is immaterial. What's important is that material in your wallet? **NOW SEND IT IN!!**

Hi Frank, lovely sounds and playing. I personally would lose the drums, they emphasize the timing issues with the acoustic guitar imho ;)

yes I will... someone's got to pay for for all those new IRS agents... and their line-dancing lessions...
and don't forget the $70 million in IRS employee-union bonuses... I hope they get everything they deserve...

Nice!
Please tell me that's a real soprano sax player!  That sax part is pain awesome.  I agree that it (sax) is still sitting too far back in the mix.

Great job Frank. Each guitar chord & note rings out like old glory! A great tune and played gracefully and with feeling. If I had my way, I’d substitute harmonica for sax (no dis on the sax, it was really well played) just to keep the “rural feel” throughout. Ignore me.   Great job by all involved.

You're no Lee Greenwood, but then again, he's no Frank Tanton... The 4th is coming up quick, so many take for granted the gift which is this country. One of the few places on earth we need to build fences "to keep people out." We need to teach the youth to value and respect their heritage. It's not about what the government can give you, or what you can get, it's about the freedom to prosper, and the right to succeed or fail on your merit, THAT is what fairness is all about, a fair shot... Robbing from Peter to pay Paul is all good and well as long as you are Paul.

I like the current mix, sounds really nice.

Thanks for sharing this Frank. You can make minor tweaks to this mix if you want but it sounded fine to me at this end....maybe I heard the most recent rendition of it. The musicianship here is about as good as it gets. You are well past the learning stage and are now  having fun making the music....and it shows.

As far as our good ol' U.S. of A ...well its changing fast. I'm not a total pessimist...still the best country on the face of the earth to live in.

love the guitar sound.....

all the performances are great!

mixwise, give that sax solo the same level you gave the opening guitar, because it feels like the level drops off precipitously when the sax comes in.

it's a touchy-feely thing

Thanks Gonzo X... Your advise is golden, and much appreciated... I am so sorry I missed your feedback earlier... it was unintentional...

I make some videos. This one shows how to do a physical loopback on the RME UCX to get many more equalizer nodes.

Great Job on the song Frank

Happy Fourth of July ...and that's as political as I'm gonna get for now

Yeah , nice transitions w the instrumentation and musical motifs very  seamless ....
the song starts one way and gets really big fast ...I dug that , it kept my interest...stellar mix
I do hope your sax player keeps a fire extingusher next to his horn cause he can play
