Transfering VST presets from Guitar Tracks Pro III to Sonar 8

Hey guys and girls-it's been a while! I had made a LOT of VST presets with various plugs in GTP3. Instead of naming each preset after the VST I would usually put STOKES. So in each alpha-numeric shared preset folder would be my name but I wouldn't know for which plug it was for. This was all done on the same PC. When I open a VST in Sonar 8 for an effect that I know the presets of-they are not in the drop down list. Did anybody else make the GTP3-Sonar 8 jump? How did you find/retrieve your old VST presets????? Is there an easy way to understand the alpha-numeric files that I missed???
