collaboration

I would like to put together a virtual band to record a song (maybe more). I have a handful of songs I think are really good but I need better musicians to translate. Anybody interested?

Collaboration is a good idea Jeff. I've thought that would be good too.
I would think for folks to be interested, there would have to be something in it for them too?
Usually it's money but often it's trading services between equals.
IOW doing tracks for each other and sharing ideas?

What is the style and genre of the music?

I looked at one of the sites (first one) and the genre's are all over the place....

What instrumentation in particular are you seeking?

As many details as you care to give would be helpful in finding the right folks, then you can take the conversation off forum to emails and start working.

I'm not doing anything right now but I'd like to hear more about the project first before saying yea or nay.

Been collabing on Indaba for a while.  Gives me a chance to work with some great musicians and mix.

Thanks guys for the responses. I'm on the road right now so I'll get some details tomorrow when I settle in.

Couple quick things: no money just fun I hope and the chance to participate with other musicians.

Genre is likely jazz oriented pop to start. I do write in a fairly wide variety of styles from alternative to electronic so it could depend on the group taste as well.

Drums bass guitar keys vocals etc invited. Vocals is my biggest weakness.

I am available for some keyboard tracks - shoot me a private message with your contact info and I will respond with mine.

I would want to have some basic info, such as a list of the synth plugins you currently have, so that I can see what of mine matches up, if any.

Sounds like tentative fun in any case,

    Collaboration Requested
    Piano
    Drums
    Base
VOCAL (I have a new track that rewords the vocal line for a more interesting vocal)
