Sometimes I Wonder (Blues -- Bobby Bland style --- sort of ??)
This is a little number about some of the things that one might wonder and worry about. Way back in the olden days --- when I was but a wee, peanut sized, toddler, if all things were just right I could manage to get the John R and the Big Hugh Baby shows at night on WLAC radio (Nashville). Both DJ's played mostly Blues, R & B, Jump Blues, etc. One artist they used to play a lot was Bobby "Blue" Bland. I thought I would try doing a Blues number in the Blues/R&B style of Bobby Bland. Please note that the operative word in the previous sentence is TRY. As always I will be very appreciative of any feedback, crit.'s, suggestions, etc. Thanks. This is truly a modern blues song with a timely message. I love the lyrics, especially the chorus. The horn stabs are perfect and accent the song very well. Well done, Freddy!

Thanks Bill. I love the Blues -- any kind of Blues. Hey Robby, how are ya? Thanks for the kind words. Hi Kev. Thank you for the kind feedback. I've packed my troubles in my old kit bag and I'm smiling, smiling, smiling. Thanks Tim. Thank you Frank! I always appreciate your input. Hi Lynn. I was worried that the lyrics might get in the way but I remembered that a lot of Blues songs weren't just about drinking and bad times but actually spoke about the conditions of the day (e.g., Eisenhower Blues). I very much appreciate your feedback. Thanks.

"Hey Robby, how are ya? Thanks for the kind words." I'm at the end of my rope? I'm thinking about having plastic surgery, and liposuction? And then "taking care of Timmy?" and assuming his identity... I'm a pretty good mimic? I think I could approximate him. Did you see Face Off? But enough about me? I hope all is well with you!

I am doing swimmingly well Robbie. However, I am indeed distressed that you are at the end of your rope and that you are thinking of assuming the identity of Timmy. Can you do that? ;>) Music is good for cheering one up --- so, time for you to post a new number on the forum. I know I would enjoy that. HI Bob. I really appreciate your taking the time to listen and respond. Thank you for the very kind feedback.

Hi Eric. Thanks for listening and for the kind feedback. I appreciate it. Hey Mark. You are much too much kind. Thanks for the kind words buddy! NOTE: You are probably all aware of this. The man who's style I was trying to emulate in this song passed away last week. RIP Bobby "Blue" Bland.
