Ides for small studio monitors and Studio Monitor Controllers?

Good day! I have two questions:
 
1) Any good computer sized speakers that are actually studio monitors? I am in the market for small studio monitors. What I primarily want is a pair of studio monitors between the size of computer speakers and the dimensions of 5 inches wide and 5 inches deep (Height not above 5 inches either) [Computer speaker size or a little bigger]. I want speakers that could connect to my laptop and be portable. There primary use is to play back tracks that I am working on when I can't work at my desktop. Bear in mind that I already have a pair of KRKs for actual mixing. I use my desktop for mixing and all of that. I want speakers for my laptop that will give an accurate enough perception of my tracks but are also are small enough to be carried with one hand. The idea is a pair of speakers that are the size of excellent quality computer speakers but behave like studio monitors. I am not looking for the best accuracy period, just the best accuracy in the dimensions I specified. Something like the M-Audio AV 40s or the Samson MediaOnes.
 
2) If someone were to have several pairs of studio monitors how would the go about having all of them hooked up to their audio interface. Suppose the audio interface had a few pairs of balanced outputs, but also suppose the situation when the audio interface only has two outputs. Is there something like a studio monitor controller?

    At work I use Klipsch computer speakers that came with a sub.  Sound pretty great but I would not mix with them.

    Im not familiar w/ any good speakers that small.
     
    Sure, there are various montior controllers/switchers.  And any mixer should be able to switch a few, too, depending upon the outputs.  But it becomes a matter of money.  How much are you looking to spend.  The TC stuff is pretty good - I know about their vol knob.  It is very good but doesn't switch.  They have another unit, the BMC-2 which does but it is $500 or so.  I know there are more expensive ones but not about cheaper - tho I'm sure they are out there.  I think Mackie still makes the big knob, tho some complained it colored their sound.

    I would not say these are great but about adequate for the size of them. I use them on my computer for most listening,but found out that bass must go above the mid-point center detant a little to match 8" woofer stereo speakers. The T-20 are the small ones, and now it looks as if there is the T-40. They may fall over so I place them on the side, but then they are computer speakers and sound like it in the end. A little dull on the highs, a little higher volume mid-low frequencies and drop off for low frequencies. No sub-woofer or anything but enough power to hear pretty good with them.

    T-40 is on left hand side there and has two small woofers, and they are small about 2-3" at most, maybe 2.5" or so. ??
     But like any speaker, listen to them first of all - probably Best B or wherever they are sold. (usually cheaper too than the store at the link.)

     A taller speaker than you may want and a good 5-6" depth. Mine are about 8" high, 5" deep I say, and 4" wide. ??
     
    You do have to have AC power for these speakers as they have a built-in 20 watt amp for the smaller ones (T-20) and a 32 watt built in amp for the bigger ones.
     
    Unlike some comments made on reviews, I have not had a bit of problems with the speakers in any way and laying on the side, they on my desk tend to want to move though and fall off of the table I use, but I watch for that, since I have turned up the bass or the treble past mid-way a lot, up to 3/4 of the control movement and they still sound good. Guess it depends on which video on Utube or music you are listening to. And I have had them for a few years now.
