Can't open a midi file???

Hi Folks,
I am trying to open some older midi (MID) files in my Sonar but I get the following: Cannot read file.
I am using Sonar X2 Producer.  The file is definitely good as I can load it in other programs such as Master Tracks Pro.
Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance,
Dave

Are you using File-Open or Import-MIDI. Try both.
You could also try opening in safe mode (hold down shift while clicking on File-Open).

BTW, you're in the wrong forum. There is an X2 forum. This is for the older versions of Sonar.
