Simple question

If I am recording a vocal track and have an effect plugin going. Let's say a compressor, reverb etc. Does that effect get printed to tape with my source?

No. That is if your print to tape comment is with reference to Sonar.
No fx are recorded. You need to bounce the recorded vocal through the fx.

Unless you are using hardware effects, no. Sonar is Non Destrcuctive
Sonar has no control over the signal being recorded.
