X2 MIDI Crashed

Hi everyone!
I'm new here, so I have a problem with my X2.
I conect my MIDI cable, open a VST (TruePiano for example),
I start to play with my midi controler, and work ok ;)
And then, at least 2min after, it stop working,
MIDI dost work (with controler) I think it must be my controler sistem (is just a keyboard actually)
BUT, the thing is, midi dsnt work AND, when I try to restart X2, it dsnt work too...
I need to shut down all my OS to start again ...
Can you tell me somethings about this??

Presonus AudioBox USB
Win7 64bit
RAM memory: 8Gb
Processor Intel Core i7-3770

Thank you guys!
Best Regards!

Axl

A couple of obvious things...Have you upgraded to X2a? Do you have a virus checker running at the same time? Connected to the Internet (with background updating)? Both these processes can produce conflicts... Also, you want to make sure all your gear is connected BEFORE you launch SONAR so it can profile the gear properly on launch.

-I hade installed X2a upgrade now!
-disconect Internet and Antivirus both during my entire session
-and make so SURE to conect anything BEFORE run Sonar!

And the problems is the same..
some little notes checking sound and is dead again,
...and still dsnt allow me to restart the SONAR (just if I restart my entire OS)

I need to try with another MIDI cable,
And try with another midi controler...
but, beside of these, I dont know ...

    any suggestion?
    Thank you!!

MIDI by itself shouldn't cause a crash. To check on what is being sent to Sonar open the Event List. Next time try the Panic Button on the transport module. Its the reset button.

Hey, Axl. Is this something that was working at one time and now it's not? Were you ever able to get this setup to work with X2?

+1 on the setup.  Please list the following information:

    1.  What driver version for your audio interface are you running?
    2.  Do you have Service Pack 1 for Windows 7 installed?
    3.  What Sample Rate and ASIO Buffer Size are you using for your audio interface?
    4.  What Sample Rate are you using with Sonar? (It must match what you use on your audio interface)
    5.  What Record Bit-Depth are you using with Sonar? (Check in Preferences>File>Audio Data>Record Bit Depth)
    6.  What kind of USB port is your audio interface plugged into? (USB 2.0 or USB 3.0 - make sure you use USB 2.0)
    7.  Make sure your project (for testing to isolate your issue's cause) does NOT have any 32-bit plugins loaded.  Ideally, for figuring out what is happening here,  you should not have ANY plugins loaded.  (They can be added later, after finding out why you are crashing)
    8.  If Sonar crashes, PRIOR to restarting your system, I would like you to go into Task Manager, and see if SONARPDR is still running, or if BitBridge is running.

So, please review and respond to each of the above, and we will try to assist you in figuring out what is causing your problems.
