Outputs, Sends, and Busses

Is there a way to assign outputs and sends to busses, without having to scroll down the list of physical outputs? (I use a motu 2408, and its very time consuming to scroll down the list of 24 outputs, just to get to the list of busses).

It would be nice to have outputs and busses in a browser screen, in a drag and drop configuration. Is that possible?

It should not be that time consuming. But you can do a ctrl + out to assign all tracks to a buss. You can also set your master buss as the default buss.

A template may also seed up assignments.

I don't have your issue (i have a much smaller number of ins and outs on my interface), but I am wondering if you don't need all of those outputs, could you simplify what gets listed by removing the check boxes for your input/output devices in Preferences?

Just wondering if that would shorten the list,

Unfortunately, I need the outputs.  I use a Tascam Dm24 mixer where I send stems.  I tend to use a lot of different busses.  For instance, I may use 13 busses for drums.

    Kick Bus
    Snare Bus
    Snare Aux
    Tom Bus
    Cymbals

    Drum Aux 1
    Drum Aux 2
    Drum Verb 1
    Drum Verb 2
    Snare Verb

    Drum Bus
    Drum FX Bus

    Drum Master

The Kick, Snare, Tom, and Cymbals feed the Drum Bus.  The Auxes and verbs feed the Drum FX Bus.  The Drum Bus and Drum FX Bus feed the Drum Master.

The Drum Master go to a stereo pair on my mixer.

I was just wondering if there was something I was overlooking to have only buses show up and not the outputs.  Something similar to the track control manager.

Maybe not helpful here, but there's a feature that saves me a lot of time... you can select an array of tracks and set the input for all the tracks at once... so for me, if I select 10 tracks and I select the mono left for the first channel, it will assign all 10 for me in one step.

I've never tried it with say an array of 6 bus sends. I don't have Sonar with me or I'd try it now.

I make some videos. This one shows how to do a physical loopback on the RME UCX to get many more equalizer nodes.
