    Hi Eric,
I'm not a jazz aficionado, but I really like this. I wasn't really feeling the electric guitar soloing, kinda took away from the laid back feel of the song. But the acoustic guitar sounded great, and added a nice texture to the song. Can I suggest you replace the electric parts with more acoustic parts? Overall I felt the mix was very nicely balanced, and I can tell you took your time with it. Nice job!

I was picturing small potatoes as I listened. And Dan Quayle. I'm not sure the guitar tone meshed well with the overall presentation. I would have gone much cleaner.

Ahhhh...That's nice! Totally love the new electric guitar track! Nice and mellow to match the song. Eric you did a beautiful job on this! Everything gels together nicely, and is right where it should be. Nice percussion too. You may just turn me into a jazz fan! Very well done!

Eric - this is very professionally done - just classic. I'm a huge smooth jazz fan.

I don't know if you've ever done the Art Goode Catalina JazzTrax Festival - but I went twenty years in a row. I had front row seats for about 15 years of that. My wife and I got to know Art pretty well over the years. I haven't been in the past few years - but will probably start going again next year.

I totally enjoyed this - you are one talented artist.

Eric, this is superb!  I grew up listening and playing stuff like this, just not as well as you.  I've enjoyed all your posts, and I'm happy to hear some cool jazz.

Nice groove. Good tone. I lost interest after about 30 seconds into the song. What can I say? It's jazz.

    Hi, Eric,

Beautiful job on this very classy sounding smooth jazz instrumental!

I listened to the second mix, small-potatoes-1, and the playing is excellent and the guitar tone is absolutely fantastic.  The brass sounds very authentic, the keyboard pads provide a perfect bed for the tasty guitar solos, and the mix sounds totally professional.

    Spectacular work, Eric!

Night and Day improvement in the second mix! leads are much clearer and intimate now.  One nit: what is going on with the 3 note horn lick at 4:00?  seemed to come out of nowhere.

do you mind sharing your process on this a bit?  is it a band?  recorded in a full or project studio?

Eric, Very nicely done and everything flows together very lovely and sounds right in place. Nice sound on the electric guitars and instrumentation all blends together as it should for jazz. Nice production work as well.
