Acronis 2013: Windows thinks the files were made 4 hours earlier than Acronis?

I've been making some backups with Acronis 2013.

I am noticing that if I look at the date of the .tib files within Acronis the time seems to correlate with the correct time that I made the backup.

The same file, viewed in Windows Explorer displays a date that seems to be 4 hours earlier.

In other words, a file I made at 3:30 p.m. appears to be made at 11:30a.m.

Any ideas how to fix that?

Thanks.

best regards,
mike

NTFS stores the file timestamps in UTC (Universal  Time Coordinated, formerly Greenwich Mean Time). When you set your computer BIOS clock to the local time and then set the Windows Regional Settings to your time zone (UTC = or -  X hours) then Windows will store the timestamp in UTC but display the timestamp under file properties by translating the UTC stamp to your local time. If an application is simply saving and reading those timestamps through Windows procedure calls, you would expect the timestamps to be identical, but the translation into local time might not be. You can check your computer's time zone by typing "date and time" into the start menu search box.

If your Windows clock is set correctly, then the problem would seem to be with the True Image program and how it is writing (or more likely reading) its files properties. Check to see if there is a time zone setting in the Acronis application and if so that it is set to the same zone as your Windows installation.
