Multiple VST playing at once!

Hi all,

I have this project with about 6 VST plugins. I did something wrong because when I go and try to play an individual VST patch, they all some how seem to be linked together and play all at once. I have tried selecting "none" on each MIDI channel that is linked to their specific VST and have left the MIDI option to my MIDI controller selected on the one VST that I want to play by itself. But they all play together.

Please help!

None. This option actually sets the Input field to Omni with this setting the track will record any MIDI input coming in on any enabled port (MIDI interface input driver) on any channel

Counterintuitive: one would expect Midi channel none to send no midi data at all, but in Sonar if the channel is set to none the synth is set to receive any mid sent on any channel. If all your synth tracks have midi none inputthen they will all respond to any midi event.

When a track's midi input is to "None", the track will only respond if it is selected.  If several tracks are responding to the same midi signal, then maybe all these tracks are selected.  Just click on the particular midi track you want to work on.

Make sure they don't all have the Input Echo button activated.

    Hi,

The problem was that I had all the "input echo" activated on each VST track!

    Thank you very much.
