A message from my nephew about his new guitar...

One of my nephews just graduated high school. He treated himself to a new guitar by parlaying his graduation gift money, his old guitars, and his after school job money into a fresh axe.

He took in his old starter acoustic and a beautiful solid body flame top Ibanez that he had spent a year saving up for and he traded up for a used PRS with a 10 top.

He asked his dad to tell his grandma, to tell his aunt to tell her husband (that's me) that he finally got himself an American made guitar. :-)

I am so proud!!!

It's nice to see a young man with some values: :-)

Plus he's a real good player. :-)

Nothing better than seeing the young ones
enjoying life and making good decisions for themselves.

I've learned not to be to quick at expressing myself to
mine. Sometimes there is info I didn't have that would have
    changed my evaluation.

There is a possibility that getting rid of the Ibanez wasn't
such a good idea. I know there are guitars that I could have
kept and didn't just because I wanted the deal to go down and WHEN
I wanted it to. He'll be the one that will determine if that was or wasn't
    a good thing...in time.

I thought the Ibanez was a nice guitar too.

Can't wait to see his new one, he lives 5 hours away so we'll check it out the next time we visit. His mom's brother has a masters in Classical Guitar performance so his interest in guitars isn't my fault... but I like to help when I can. :-)

    best regards,
    mike
