Help with Crackles in Music Creator 6 Touch

Hi all, I know this isn't the correct forum (i posted this in MC6 forum already) but wanted to run this by you guys since i was told Music Creator 6 Touch is based off of Sonar x2.
Here is the Low down:
i just purchased Music Creator 6 touch from the Cakestore to set up a little recording rig for a friend.

Laptop is: Acer aspire 7741z-4643, Win 7 professional 32bit, Intel Pentium p6100 @ 2.00ghz p6100 @ 2.00ghz Duo core 2, 4Gig ram, 500gig internal sata hd.
I setup this laptop just for audio, disabled wireless and other stuff recommended on a few other sites including what Avid recommends. The Audio interface is M-audio Fast track w the latest win 7 drivers, i am using the ASIO driver.
So anyway this setup is for a friend that just wants to track ideas something simple, so i bought this software since its perfect for what they need and i want to support Cakewalk since it would be exactly what they need, except when the buffer for the fast track is set to 128 MC6 touch crackles when even 1 vi's are used or a few audio tracks are playing back, when i set it to 256 it seems 0k, but don't like the latency(they need to track guitar and bass through amp sims)
Just out of curiosity to make sure its not the Laptop i installed Reaper 4, and Pro Tools 8 MP and both allowed the buffer to be lowered to 128 with no crackling or pops (playing amp sims, vi's recording audio)
Is there a setting or something im missing in MC6 that might remedy this?
So i'm baffled as to why MC6 crackles at 128 buffer? Any help would be great, i would hate to think i wasted $50.00 on a program that i cant get to 128 buffer when the others on the same laptop do.
Also:
This interface (M-audio Fast Track) has been used on many computers Mac and Pc over the years and has worked flawless even on older pc's, Whats weird is that it works great with Reaper4, and Pro Tools 8 mp on this laptop?
When i move the buffer to 256 then it works with out crackles on MC6 touch.
One last thing:
i have a few interfaces laying around, so i loaded up My M-audio Fast Track "Pro" w latest asio drivers and same thing, works at 128 buffer in Reaper 4 and Pro Tools 8mp, but not in MC6 touch
Any help or advice is welcome, would really like to try and get this working before i scrap the software and just use one of the others as MC6 touch is perfect for their needs.
Thanks,
Tommy

The laptop spec is under the system requirements :

Any work around will not be satisfactory unless it's just midi recording with external sound module or audio recording with direct monitoring (eg. mixer based interface) where you do not use vsti effects. Sonar do seems to use a little more resources than Reaper.
