Fake Passport guy has apparently managed to access my email from the Cakewalk forums.

Got the usual pitch for fake passports etc to my personal email
"received from a8-57.smtp-out.amazonses.com ([54.240.8.57]"
Anyone else had the pleasure?

That looks like a subscription notification of a private message, which includes the spam they sent. Did you receive a PM?

I received an email notification today that one of my posts had been marked helpful. Unfortunately that email was  deleted.

    Hi,

You need to grab the "headers" from this email and send them to Cakewalk, and also to the two main spam location on the Internet ...

It doesn't always work, because most spam'rs know how to "spoof" their address (use fake information), but the routing on the email covers various IP's that can be tracked and the Admins can chase down some of that stuff going through.

In general, you are already infected and someone already had your information ... is the best way to look at it!

We have to learn to stop using programs to downlaod merde to our computers! STOP IT! You must learn to do "Webmail" (online mail only!), so that the majority of this stuff can not get to your own machine. You kinda learn to not open these emails and I tend to go through them in the "preview" section at Comcast, and delete everything ... then, you can download things with Outlook Express or the like, but I still wouldn't! AND DON'T!

As a wise Guy once stated from his holy chapala ... none of the hits, none of the time ... prevents you from becoming just another turkey in the middle of all the other turkeys!
