Cakewalk PLEASE fix effect automation parameters

The way in which effect automation parameter selection is handled in Sonar is just awful. It's like they knocked up a makeshift selection method during development and just left it like that in the commercial release.

First of all, the menu which appears to select parameters is totally lame. The little up/down scrolling arrows are slow, and if the menu is over a certain size, the bottom one is not even visible on monitors with a smaller vertical resolution (I can see them on my main monitor but not my 2nd monitor). I know you can also scroll with the arrow keys, but even this is a pain if you're using a multi-effects VST like Guitar Rig and you have a lot of parameters. Being able to use page up/page down would be nice, but alas you can't. Ditto the mouse wheel, which is disabled on these menus. Come on Cake, surely a dialog box would be a much better way to browse these parameters.

Secondly, the way in which the parameters are organized is totally screwed up. For example, if I have two instances of Guitar Rig in the same FX chain (I use multiple instances for automated effects chains), then the automation menu only lists one instance, and all of the parameters for the two instances are jumbled up in the same list. They're not even neatly organized per Guitar Rig effect. They're all mixed up with each other. If you have two or three instances of Guitar Rig in an FX chain, each holding say 8 effects, you're looking at something like 200 parameters all mixed up together. And you can't even use the mouse wheel to scroll through them.

I know I can make things simpler by separating each instance of Guitar Rig into its own FX Chain, but this just makes my ProChannel messy and completely defeats the whole purpose of FX Chains to begin with.

The nightmare I go through when working on heavy effect automation is just one of the reasons why Sonar feels unpolished and unfinished and makes me toy with the idea of jumping ship! I truly hope they finish the job properly in the next release.
