MC5 and 6: Imported clips don't start at 0:00

Sometimes when I import clips to either MC5 or 6 (I use both), the clips don't start at 0:00. They start progressively later. For example, I'll import a WAV file and it will start at the 5-minute mark. I'll create a new track, import, and it starts where the last clips ends, etc. It's frustrating, but I can drag the clips to 0:00. Today, however, I started a new MC6 project and imported a WAV file. It starts way down the timeline, at 28 hours and 42 minutes. When I try it in MC5, it starts at the same place.

My questions:
How do I import files so they start at 0:00?
If I can't, is there a feature that will move a clip to 0:00?

Thanks,

-Stuart

Some wave files are saved with timestamps telling the host where to place them. They are called Broadcast Waves. You can change the way MC handles Broadcast Waves by going into Preferences > File > Audio Data and deselect "Always Import Broadcast Waves At Their Timestamp"

That did the trick, in both MC5 and MC6. Thanks much!

I had that very thing happen recently on waves for a mixing contest. They were way out the time line to the right and I thought they had failed to load properly.....

Time stamp..... must remember
