When I Will Sing To You
Words & Music by
James Saad

Sadly
Hopeless
I'm hopeless for you.
I've much need
for your love
for your love is true.

How to be without you.

It was heaven above
that gave us a second chance -
a reason for true romance
for us.

Now I can't walk alone
knowin' you're in my life
leading me to the light
in love.

How to be without you.
How to be.
Every day I pray for
the day to come
when I will sing to you.

You took my trembling hand
when we walked the rising tides.
There was no place to hide
before that kiss.

You were towing the line.
You reached out
and touched my heart
leading me through the dark
together.

How to be without you.
How to be.
Every day I pray for
the day to come
when I will sing to you.

You were holding tight.
You took me away that night.
You took me away that night
in your passion.
You're all the reason I need
to keep us eternally
to keep us eternally
in love.

How to be without you.
How to be.
Every day I pray for
the day to come
when I will sing to you.

When I will sing to you.

When I will sing to you
Oh oh yeah.

    Interesting song Jimmy.

TBH not my favorite of yours but the harmonies are nice.

Drum style feels a bit out of place (to me). Maybe just too aggressive?

Bass is nice and functional sounding and played.

Reminds me a little of the Eagles, Jimmy.  How it starts out just guitar, vocal and harmonies.  Once it kicks in it has the country rock feel.  Love the harmonica.

Hi Ed!  Hope all is well.  Thanks for the listen.  I followed my creativity and let it happen.  It is interesting.  Maybe kind of like a Mumphord & Sons thing.
Thanks for the comments on the bass.  I am using my micro bass and playing with compressor settings.  I think I am starting to get it.

    All the best.

Hi Mike!  Thanks for the listen.  I appreciate the nice comments - especially the harp!  I don't work too hard on it and sometimes I get lucky!

Well I thought I answered on this last night but I see it didn't stick. I enjoyed it. I thought it better when it "kicked in" because it felt like the vox didn't support the song in the beginning (to me) when it kicked in with the doubling and all of the harmonies, drums, etc... It fit together "perfectly." Take no disrespect because none is meant, I give only honest opinions. On the whole, I did enjoy it. But then again? On the hole? What's not to enjoy :-)

It gave me an Elvis Costello vibe.

Hi Robie.  Thanks for the listen and I am happy you enjoyed it.  For the "record" (LOL), I did not double the vocals or guitars.  I had lead vocal plus two backgrounds.  On the acoustic, I used two mics.  I even recorded the tamborine live.  I have been working a long time on using less instruments overall all and then seeing how big I can make the sound.

    All the best,

This song reminded me of Poco, my favorite country rock band of all time.  The production and performances are solid, and the arrangement let everything be heard well.  Good job, Jimmy.

Nice one Jimmy.  I particularly liked it when everything kicked in.  Everything blended in very good, and the mix kept everything separate and clear.  The harmonies were terrific!  Oh ya,  loved the harp!

Hi Freddy.  Thanks for the listen and nice comments.  I think you have to listen to this song a few times before you get it.  I am very happy that you like it.
I could use some lead guitar help but am glad everyone seems to be OK with it.

Thanks Wooklee for the listen.  This was not really my thing either but I went with the idea to see where it would go.  I think it was my best acoustic guitar and bass sound I have achieved so I am glad to have produced this.

Thanks Daryl.  It's great you mentioned Jimmy Messina.  I played drums on his first album after Loggins & Messina broke up.  He is a great guy and wonderful artist.  He let me be session leader a number of times.  I followed him closely since Buffalo Springfield.

PAY ATTENTION!! IT MOVES from here to there...

To me, when I listened again? It reminded me of Gandie who said, you have too much shiz? Now give it to me and my posse? Or we B takin it from you? By force? i.e, at the point of a gun? That's what this felt like to me when I listened again?

In fact, I thought I heard "underneath the mix?", "Give me your shiz B or we be bustin a cap in some body part?" It seemed to rhyme with ASCII? But it felt like they were also going for my EBCDIC?  Gandie, he was an OG... (Original Gangsta...)

It may have just been my speakers? They're blown, and not in a way that they enjoy either... From each accordion to his ability? But how many people play the accordion, "seriously?"

(I meant Soundcloud!!) Soundcloud... Those guys? They always go on about this stuff?

**ALMOST COMMENTED ON THE RAINFOREST?? I MEAN I WAS THIS CLOSE? But? What goes around comes around... It's a great lyric? A great one...

    -----------Edit
I'm sorry for that right there Lord... And please be with the Pygmies in New Guinness, Amen.
(like it or not, that is funny, based on previous comments, and not intended to offend? Only amuse...) Any offence is inferred, not implied. Fur... Aummm, hehehehehe He said Fur.

I believe Scarlet captured it best? *I think it was from Gandi with the wind?* When she said "As God it my Witness! I shall never go to Hungary again!! (I didn't know she'd been to the Eastern Block? But her belief's smelled of it...)

And Rett was all against Hydro Electric's when he said? "Frankly by dear?" Well you know the rest... Clearly he did not want to pay for hydro power for the masses???? OH THE HUMANITY!!!???
    -------------Edit

I'm sorry again for that right there Lord...

    The Band19

    Hi Robbie,

Sorry mate but I couldn't follow your post.  I appreciate the listen and I think you liked the song but were hearing some strange lyrics in it due to your blown speakers.  Let me know if that wasn't it.  Hope all is well.

    Sweet! Very sweet!

Hi Scott.  Thanks for the listen.  I used my old Strat through GR5.  The lead could be better but I keep trying.

    Hi Jimmy,
I just gave our tune a listen .
I like the way you built up the instruments and parts as the song progressed ....
Yeah , I think you kept it moving a long real nice .
I dug when you had everything going and had the back round vocals prominent ....it sounded Big
