TH2 Overloud amp sim - signal flow

Hey all,

I'm having some trouble getting the TH2 Overloud amp sim to work right in X2 Producer.  I have a new track enabled with correct input right on the strip.   But I go to add in the TH2 Overloud -- it shows up under Audio FX for me -- and I can't any sounds out of it.   My regular input sound of my guitar stays them same.

Not sure what I'm doing wrong.  Any help or tutorials would be appreciated. :)

hmm... You've got a preset or some amps loaded in TH2? Is your FX bin power button on? Do you have the Input Echo button enabled on the track (normally you wouldn't hear anything but maybe your interface is set to one of those zero latency features which allows the dry input to be heard)?

I'll check.  I usually have the Input Echo enabled all the time.   I'm wondering if it's something with the Output signal routing.   I get signal just fine through the Track strip, but when I bring up Overloud and start loading presets, I get no sound.  I think I have the FX bin on, but I'm not sure.  will have to double check that.

First time using TH2? It's been a long time since I first set it up but you may have to go into the TH2 settings to make sure it's receiving the signal. Not to be a RTFM guy but TH2 is a little uh... unique as far as how it does things. You might want to read through the manual to get an idea of where everything is at. There are some not so obvious hidden areas. The manual isn't that long anyway (only a few pages IIRC) and it's well worth the read. Good luck.

Have you registered it? I'm not sure if this is required with the Sonar only version, but it's required for the full version. Try launching Sonar as administrator and then opening the amp sim and see if it prompts you to enter your registration key (mine is found on the cakewalk website after I log in).

I make some videos. This one shows how to do a physical loopback on the RME UCX to get many more equalizer nodes.

Might need to check/set the input and output settings in TH2. The input setting dialog is the third button on the top left IN LEV. Output is on the top right. There is also an input adjustment in the Master bar. Open the Master bar with the Master button top right.
