Where does the Fab Filter Pro-C preset folder need to go?
I have the folder. It's in my documents. I open the plugin and I don't have presets. Another question is about the four different dll files. Do I need all four? Thanks!

Your user directory > My documents > FabFilter > Proc-C You can always get them back by opening the Preset dropdown > Options > Restore Factory Presets About the 4 dlls, from the help file: there are four versions of the FabFilter Pro-C plug-in that form all combinations of mono/stereo and with or without external side chain input: - FabFilter Pro-C (stereo without side chain)
- FabFilter Pro-C (SC) (stereo with side chain)
- FabFilter Pro-C (Mono) (mono without side chain)
- FabFilter Pro-C (Mono SC) (mono with side chain).

Thanks Scook, I guess I need those dll files. I have the preset folder, it just isn't doing anything. My preset drop down only shows default preset. There isn't an option to click on.

Make sure to check out the Pro-C videos on the website. Very informative.

Yeah I will. I'm thrilled! I have a Fab Filter plugin! Never thought I would be able to say that. Guess I should probably start saving for the next one. Pro-Q would be my pick. Thanks for the help!

Welcome to the cool table, Clint. Best of all, you said "no" to Waves.

Thanks Bit! I was a little tempted by the Waves deal, but when I got the e-mail this morning asking if I would still be interested in Pro-C for 90 bucks...well I had to do it. I've been playing around with this beast for awhile today and I think I'll be very happy. I'm now officially saving up for Pro-Q...My wife will be thrilled!

With Pro-C in your kit, you can now ignore every future compressor thread on every forum. With the possible exception of extremely fast distorting compression a la 1176 all-buttons mode, Pro-C can fill any role from vocal leveling to drum shaping to de-essing to bus compression.
