'Cause I Drinks A Bit (straight ahead Blues)

On our recent trip to the FL Keys, we took an afternoon to visit Key West.  On our journey to find parking near Whitehead Street, I spotted this guy who was noticeably "shtonkered" even though it was not yet afternoon.  He was obviously in hard times and in bad shape.  I couldn't help but think about what in his life would cause him to get in this state.  There are a truckload of hard drinking Blues songs and when I was coming up with this number I couldn't help but thinking of this guy.  I decided to significantly lighten up the circumstances of the subject of this song from what were probably the real circumstances of his life.

I hope that you enjoy this simple little song and as always feedback would be very much appreciated.

Thanks.

Cool stuff. I like the sound. The horns (harmonica and guitar) does not sound like trumpet/saxophone/horns together but in the next second I realize what instruments makes this sound. A nice combination but as I expected horns I was surprised. Drums could sound better, these are to narrow in the middle, but that's just my opinion.

Cool sound, nice straight forward track!

A nice departure for you Freddy. I expected your usual jazz/rap fusion number?

Used to drink too much.  I still do, but I used to too.

Cool blues, bring the vocals up.   Key West is fun hey?  Lots of musicians down there.

Live here in Florida, I guess I see my share of the local drunks and pan handlers. This song seems to fit the occasion for them all. Another nice song from you Freddy and it sounds good to me for a representation of these peoples life style. All they need now is another drink. Coffee or ice tea works for me. Nice sound on this bluesy little song.

Thank you Mark.  Again you are most kind my friend.

Thanks for the feedback Max.  I appreciate the comments and feedback.  Your right about the drums.  I used a drum file that I got from a share-site and wasn't thrilled by it --- I was also too lazy to change it out, so I kept it well in the background.  I am working on some other stuff now but I'm going to have to go back and correct this.  Thanks again.

    Thank you John!!

Hi Rik.  Thank you very much for listening and commenting.

Hey Frank.  Thanks very much!  I appreciate it!!

Hello Robby.  Thanks for the listen and for commenting.  It is a bit different but that is only because I don't know what I am doing  ;>)  I must be getting old.  If I had a couple of drinks when I was younger I was ready to go and now, in my advancing stage of chronology, I'm just ready to go to sleep.  That is no fun.

Thank you Daryl.  Yes indeed Key West can be lots of fun.  Thanks for the feedback on the vocals.  When I bring up the drums I'll correct the vocal.

Thank you John (theguitarplayer)!!  We do seem to have our share here in Florida.  Some of my friends have little tolerance for them blaming their circumstances entirely on them.  Maybe that is so, but I still can't help feeling bad for them.
