Music Creator 6 Touch, connect guitar to TH2 problems.

Hello.
I recently bought Music Creator 6 Touch, but I can't get TH2 to work with my guitar.
I use a USB audio interface called Duo-Capture. Link here:
I'm basically lost. I've plugged the guitar into the audio interface which is connected to the computer, but no matter what I try I never get any reactions from TH2. The only time I get any sound is when I connect the speakers directly to the audio interface, but it still doesn't work together with TH2.

I appreciate any help I can get to make it work!

Make sure the track input echo is on. You also want to check the track input and make sure the appropriate channel (your guitar is probably connected to just one channel of the interface) is selected. There are also a couple of adjustment in TH2 itself that you might need to adjust. The third button on the top left IN LEV opens a dialog describing how to adjust the input volume to TH2 and the knob on the top right adjusts the output level.

Didn't seem to work. I'll go through all the steps I've done. Thanks for the reply though!

    1. Start program.
    2. Open new project > Template normal.
    3. Insert > Soft synth > TH2 creator > Simple instrument box is checked and "ok".
    4. I check that the input echo is on and set output to duo-capture and output says omni but is set to "none" when I open it. Link to picture:

    5. I open the TH2 window > press inlev for input level adjustment and follow the instructions, but no matter what I do it gives no reaction. I turn the knob in the top right to adjust output level, I check my guitar, have all three buttons on my audio interface that says "input monitor", "Hi-z" and "input gain" on, but nothing happens.

The little red light over the input volume slider on the audio interface lights up though when I play on the guitar, but that's it. I don't know what else to do.

It is not a synth, it is an effect. It needs to be added to the FX bin of an audio track. Simple Instrument tracks are for softsynths.

Alright. I read somewhere that I was suppose to change TH2 into a soft synth, so I did.
I guess I just have to change it back then and try, but I don't remember quite what I did to change it.

The "Configure as synth" option in the VST properties enables the plug-in to respond to MIDI control data, it does not turn an effect into a synth (even though it might sound like it does). You still need to place the plug-in in the FX bin.

Alright, so how do I add TH2 to the FX bin? I've re-installed it so everything is back to normal, and which is the FX bin, the red or the blue marked button?

Expand a track and right-click in the FX (effects) bin; select the effect you want to add.

So now I right-clicked the FX bin, but I couldn't find TH2 anywhere around there.

There are two basic groups of things..... VST's and audio FX.

They each work in the tracks that they are designed for.  One needs to be aware of that because  you can add them into the bins but they will only work within the parameters they understand.

For example, adding a synth to the audio track FX bin will work....BUT, it needs a midi track feeding it data. If you try to feed it with the audio from a guitar, it will not function.

Also noticed up top in first post....The only time I get any sound is when I connect the speakers directly to the audio interface,..... yes, you do want to use the audio interface for both the input and output. I assume that you are listening on the computer soundcard/speakers...... that is not advisable. It works but it can create other issues.... so do use the audio interface  in and out,.  Be sure the driver mode is ASIO on the interface.
