1st song for me - Leap Of Faith

This is my first shot at sharing one of my songs here.
My mixing skills are minimal, at best.
Will welcome your input on how I might get better.

That's pretty cool! You have the violin tone for sure. At first I thought it was a violin with effects, but then it started sounding like Carlos Santana. If that's your first, I look forward to hearing more.

Not bad for a first song sharing, in fact, it is much better than my first one, so keep working on this and you will see how it will all come together. Some things to think about when mastering music. Equalization, Reverb, Dynamics, Stereo Imaging, Harmonic Excitement, Limiting Maximization, Post Equalization, Noise Gating and Dithering. All are very important to come up with a good final mix with a full quality sound. Again, very nice start to something much bigger and better. Keep up the good work and best advice I can give you is to read and learn all you can.

    Peace and blessings, John

This is really good for a first attempt.  There is indeed a lot to learn about mixing, production, etc.  In fact, it is probably never ending because something new always seems to be coming around to complicate things even further.  There are a lot of people on this form that actually understand this stuff (I wish I were one) that can provide you with some great advice.
I look forward to hearing more from you.
