Finally got loaded...

everything has been upgraded and/or updated and a system image created.

It took a very long time but I've never had an easier time and never so complete. It sure took
many, many hours though.
It's the first time that I've been comfortable (if system image works) thinking that
if things go bad I can restore to a "like new" state and even with preference savings-such as
where audio projects and such are saved.

I haven't used X2 to record but it is loaded with all the third party programs such as Spectrasonics
and I've spent hours playing and not one issue. No video or audio quirks...not one.
I can use Omnisphere, Trilian, Stylus, Guitar Rig 4 all live simultaneously without one single issue.

I didn't forget or lose any programs either! Even got Melodyne editor and Har-bal upgraded. They
changed the name of Melodyne editor to Melodyne singletrack.
Usually plugs or some program I forgot about falls throught the crack but kept my act together this time.

Had a great surprise with JBL too. Don't know when but they updated the control center for them so I
got to run RMC via the control center which is nice to have back.

I've done nothing else with X2. I wanted to make sure that I could use everything I use without issues
before doing anything else with it.

Well hopefully I can be a guitarist for awhile and with the best DAW I've had. Good feeling.

    :-)

    Good for you.

I'm in the same boat. I have a new system that I have loaded up meticulously. Saturday was the day that I realized I could probably put it online and retire the previous DAW.

It's starting to feel good and I enjoy knowing that I have a bunch of backup points. I hope you enjoy the same feeling of relief.

    all the best,
    mike

I will probably upgrade my DAW soon but I'm dreading the amount of work involved, re: documenting where everything is and what I need to back up, locating and saving installers etc. I've done loads of fresh system installs and a few new machines over the years and I nearly always forget something which I kick myself for later.

LOL...I can say that I'm happy that that part is over AND
I can at least jam using the stuff I like to use without any
distracting happenings that lead to troubleshooting at the upstairs bad time drill and grill.
    Very happy about that.
Now its just wait...to bad whatever is coming didn't matchup with my trip.

Because without any doubt X2 is the worst program on my PC.
I found out I can use it to jam but just don't touch anything while it's playing. Piece of **** program as it is.
No way would I waste my time again trying to record another project with it. Can't even use it just play stuff
    without having issues.
