How is flash player working for you?

For the past 2 months I have encountered an issue with flash player where the sound starts when it feels like it.

I can play a sound clip or a video and sometimes it is halfway through before the sound pops on. Sometimes I have to rewind and hit play a few times. It happens on SoundClick, SoundCloud, YouTube etc.

I sort of remember the day it started but can't associate it with any change. I've checked a few times and I have the latest flash player installs.

I first thought it was a network issue but now I am of the opinion that it is something more specific... I just don't know what that is.

Any thoughts or info?

best regards,
mike

    hate Flash Player.

It doesn't work consistently the way it's supposed to, and it doesn't give you advanced options to do things like say, buffer things more conservatively if it can't keep up. I've had things happen like times where I paused it and it couldn't resume and I had to start over.

It's just a disaster and there is no hope. Adjust your expectations and proceed accordingly.

In order, then, to discover the limit of deepest tones, it is necessary not only to produce very violent agitations in the air but to give these the form of simple pendular vibrations. - Hermann von Helmholtz, predicting the role of the electric bassist in 1877.

Usually it works okay. Sometimes I think if I get a message it is because of the Internet. Make sure you have the correct latest version:

    http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/

It showed me using Firefox and the OS being 64 bit. Make sure it shows what you are actually on with the computer.
Just downloaded because it is a 11.8 version, version before at least to me was always 11.7something. Never worked that good with that version, but never really had any problem with it either usually. At least not like you are having.
Still think it has something to do with the Internet traffic and not Flash Player persay. Not sure either though???

I hate Flash - and pretty much anything Adobe...

The minute my laptop starts acting funny and the CPU temperature rises unexpectedly and things get slow, 99,99% of the time, it's an Adobe related process.

Kill it and the temperature instantly drop by 10 degrees and the fan goes back to normal.
