Signor Paganini Solo Violin

Got full Kontakt? Check out this solo violin library.  [FIXED LINK]

Where all but the most expensive string libraries fall down is when playing fast, short notes. That's specifically what this library does. Nothing else. If you want to mix staccato and legato articulations you'll need to load another instrument and try to match the two tonally. But despite its limited scope, at $14.95 it's an inexpensive way to bring your orchestrations up a notch in credibility.

(Note that the site says you need full Kontakt 5. However, the developer says that it's currently fully compatible with 4.2. He just wanted to reserve the possibility of adding some K5-specific scripting later on, so he specified K5 in the Requirements.)

Hey Bit, you accidentally linked to Greg's Rick Bass instead.  At least that's what I get when I try it.

PS:  I listened to the Paganini yesterday and it is indeed a doozy.

Between this library and the new Realitone Banjo library...neither of which was expensive...I am amazed at the utility that's becoming available at no brainer prices.  I'm lovin it!

    Agreed,

There seems to be some top shelf material hitting the market for a small price lately. This one was just a drop-in-the-bucket.

Looking back through the week though I added a McMillen QuNexus controller, a couple more FabFilters, A couple more Fxpansion expanders, A Voxengo SpanPlus, etc. etc. Don't even have it all installed yet and still buying...

    Would somebody make it stop?

Picked this one up. At $15 it's a no-brainer, and you never know when you might need those rhythmic spiccato arpeggios...

Thanks bitflipper for this info about it running on Konktak 4.2;  I don't have v5 yet and was delaying getting this Solo Violin, but your note about it running fine on v4.2 means that I will take advantage of this great deal.  Thanks.

Overzealous profanity filter, never failing to amuse.

Also, confirmed that the library works fine in Kontakt 4.2. :)

Boat owners will tell you that the definition of a boat is "a hole in the water you pour money into". Airplane owners have a similar phrase. I think it probably applies to Kontakt as well.

Same with guitars and such.  The only thing that's kinda spookin me right now is that my best friends (both great guitar players) and their sons (also great players, natch) have been asking me questions like, "who are you leaving that one to??".  Maybe they know something I don't.

That's entirely possible, given my cardiac history. But I probably have nothing to will to you that you don't already have. Some maracas, perhaps?
