Which Synthology Ivory do I want?

I'm on the fence between the Pianos pack and the Steinway 1951.

With Kontakt I pretty much use the "New York" kit for everything.

Watcha  think?

Thanks!

best regards,
mike

Do you think it's fair to say that America Convert D 1951 Steinway will serve as a replacement for the Grand Pianos 3 pack?

It seems like buying the Grand Pianos package now would be like moving backwards in time.

They just released a AAX 64bit beta... I'm ready to jump into the canoe.

    Thanks.

All I know is that all the demos I've heard kick holy hell out of everything else I've got...and that's goin some.  I'll be picking it up shortly but I don't think it's shipping yet...or is it?

I don't know. There are several folks who will take my money for it today.

Maybe I should read the fine print. ;-)

I want all of the Ivory II series but will never have them since they require an iLok. If/when they get over that scam I will purchase them.

    Purrrfect Audio DAW here.  Wow!...

Go with the Ivory II Grand Pianos. You get a lot of variety in that package, particularly with the Bosendorfer and Yamaha pianos. You can always add Italian and Steinway later if you really need it. I love Ivory II.

Can I be the contrarian and say that I love the sound of the Hume in the upright package?

I'm starting to realize that the quality of my playing doesn't exactly stretch or bring out the capabilities of a huge Steiny library, but the Hume just sounds beautiful.

I ordered my concert d yesterday.  Again, my impression is based on all the demos I've heard on YouTube.  I don't own any of the Synthogy stuff and some of their earlier demos didn't exactly blow me away.  But this new Concert D definitely did.
