Ok, here it goes.
I do understand the frustrations about X2 and I sort of missed the updates for 8.53? :) But advertising here for S1 or Qbase? It's still a CW forum as far as I know.

Unfortunately there are people who have nothing better to but whine and moan over products they don't even use

When it starts getting mean-spirited I have to agree (i.e. "I just downloaded ZAP from mike-ro-squash and it makes your software irrelevant"). However I think there is some validity to comparisions particularly when it comes to specific features (i.e. "the SV in ZAP allows you to do this why can't Cakewalk get this done?"). That said I think Cakewalk provides for pretty good avenues for technical support and for feature requests in addition to things like the recent polls (yes I know folks if you weren't an X2 Producer owner you were not asked). The thing is there can be constructive criticism about Sonar and there can be malicious, even if it is offered in a passive-agressive way, criticism. Anywho... Regards,
Mike Win8(64), Sonar X3e(64) w/ RME Fireface UFX.

I think Cakewalk should drop everything and get Z3ta+2 AAX(x64) out immediately. It will sell like hot cakes.

It's a bouncing ball. I think Sonar has been a leg up for awhile, and now Cubase and others have raised their game. Now Sonar will respond and on we go. It can only be good news for all of us as things progress and get better. Personally I'm very happy with X2 and they will have to make it sweet for me to upgrade. A dedicated Sonar X3 wav editor, would be worth it for example

Can't you just pretend you got Audacity from Content Club?

Some consumers feel they can leverage corporations. I'm not sure why.

Aint that the truth... Mildly entertaining in some cases.

I'm glad you said it and not me. I do think there is way too much free advertising going on by people that seem to have it in for CW. I agree though with comparing one with another as long as its done in a fair way. One last thing that I fine a little frustrating is when a poster mentions that he is having issues without saying what they are. Sort of tossing that out to emphasize how awful X2 is. When asked about them sometimes there is no answer.
