COOL COVER! interesting choice of song... i dig the old blackmore stuff with rainbow, from dio to joe lynn turner issue: the main chorus line 'stone cold'... the pitches are flat. especially the background vox. you cannot let that slide, you gotta nail at least that one part of the song.....even if nothing else is right. the rest of the vox, playing, mix, is great....

good work... I agree with Bats on the pitch issue also I think the main vox needs some hi-pass filtering...

After redoing this I checked all my vocal tracks and not one had a HP filter on it and I normally always HP around 80 for sure if not closer to 110...I guess my ears truly were burnt after listening to it about 5000 times LOL... hopefully if you give it another listen you`ll hear the fixes.

nah, don't mess with that artificial sh!t, just get the singer to keep singing til you nail it. unless that is not an option. then maybe reach for melodyne! heheh then it becomes important to think more 'producer' while you track yourself or others, never let a 'just missed it' performance slide by, and get good at recognizing what cuts the mustard.

Alan, Great cover. Forgot all about this song, thanks for the reminder. I don't hear any issues, sounds like you updated the BGV since your original post. It all sounds good and quite professional. Regards

Just stopping in. Sounds good. Melodyne, when used correctly does a great job and it's so transparent..... no nasty artifacts when it's done right. I was thinking the drums should have been BIGGER. well done.
