Is stereo or mono track compiling best?
Hi all...not strictly a cakewalk question, but some of you guys are a lot more experienced in music production than I am, so I'd welcome some input on the following.
I'm about to upgrade the entire DAW system to 64 bit and I use mainly outboard midi modules - JV1080, Emu P2000 etc. and I have always hooked up the outputs to my mixer as stereo channels.
As I'm about to rip it all apart it occurred to me that that I might achieve a better stereo stage/positioning if I re-connected them as mono sources. Although I like a fairly full sound stage, would I achieve better results if i used then in mono?
