I mentioned in another great Harrison thread (there are two) that I jumped on this and I am happy I did. The XT-EQ is also excellent. I am still so impressed with how you draw curves both on this and the mastering EQ. I have got all the Harrison plug ins and I must say I like them a lot. Now the Reverb is something else. At first I found it to be good only but after watching a great (Harrison) video on it I am able to extract a pretty decent sound out of it. It is marvelous for small rooms, the way the presets are selected and edited is very simple and effective. Fast is an understatement. The delay is also very very good and can do a lot of really useful delay stuff. The mastering multiband comp is also a beauty. It is very controllable especially in how it limits the gain reduction in each band. You can get it bearly touching your mix yet still adding that sense of compression and attitude. It is very transparent and leaves your mix sounding pristine. If you think about exporting at the right time your stems and tracks with any special DAW processes attached then use Mixbus for the final mix using all their pluigs, all the built in EQ and dynamics on all the tracks and buses, it is powerful combination. I would love to be able to open the Harrison reverb up inside Studio One but that is a no go unless Studiio One decides to become LV2 compatible. But it is not hard to add that Harrison reverb later either.

Hey Jeff. I purchased the XT-EQ but I am having a problem with it. The gui will not open, when I insert it into a track and click on it to open the gui, I just get a black screen. Have you ever had this problem. I have notified Harrison, and Ben has been trying to help, but no solutions thus far. I know you're not Mixbus support, but just wondering if you had seen this or heard of this happening before. Have a great day, Milt. Oh, btw, I love Mixbus!

Try changing the resolution of your screen to see if it's the graphics driver causing the issue...it may need to be updated.. Just a thought...

Thanks for the reply, cclarry. I tried changing the resolution, but no luck. I bought the essentials pack a few weeks ago, and they open up just fine. Ben at Harrison said he didn't understand why the essentials show up, but the xt-eq did not. I think they are planning on releasing an update to mixbus in the next few days that addresses some windows problems. Here's hoping that my problem is one that will be fixed. I've heard a lot of good things about this eq, and am very anxious to try it.

I have not experienced any issues with the xt-eq but, I have had temporary issues (black GUI window) with other plugins. They usually go away after several seconds and the GUI shows up. This is a very positive note that they will be releasing an update shortly and hopefully it will address some graphics issues. Sounds like they are committed to continuing this product. Thanks for sharing that Milt! p.s. Also have noticed that their Facebook page has grown and contains many help full demos. Kind regards, Rick

Hi Milt no issues like that at all. It has been behaving perfectly for me. Maybe the update will do something in your case. I am still running a 32 bit XP setup here so that might have something to do with it, not sure.

Hey Milt, Just looked at an older thread and noticed that when I had the issue with the GUI being black I would minimize the mixer window, then restore the window and the GUI was present. Just a thought but you might give it a try..

Thanks for the replies, everybody. rtucker55, I'm gonna try that. I installed mixbus on my internet machine which is running Windows XP, and the gui of the XT-EQ opens just fine, so it is something to do with my DAW machine which is W7 64. Ben at Harrison said that it might be an OpenGL implementation (whatever that is) problem in the video card driver. But that is all Greek to me, I guess I'll just have to wait to see if the upcoming update will help. I hate to think that I spent $50.00 on something that I can't use, plus the reviews of the XT-EQ are really good. I like Mixbus a lot and hope that support at Harrison can work this out.

Jim Roseberry (Studiocat) was kind enough to give me some advice, and now all is well. I don't usually let the DAW get anywhere near the internet, so there were quite a few Windows updates that hadn't been installed, but once they were downloaded and installed, up popped the XT-EQ gui. Went ahead and updated the video driver as well. Many thanks to Jim for this one! AND thanks to you guys that replied with help, much appreciated. Milt.

Thanks for the tip. I almost went for these last month, but I'm glad I waited. Snagged it this time though!
