Problems Loading Certain Drum Files in SD3 and SI Drum Kit

When I load a new kit into Session Drummer 3 or Studio Instruments Drum Kit it gets stuck on loading certain kits - usually on the cymbal files (presumably because they are bigger). Then it just hangs and never loads the kit.
A few kits still load okay but most don't.
I have been using Sonar X1 Producer for quite a long time now and not had this problem before.
 
Any ideas? Or is this just another Sonar bug.

    Ok so I tried just opening drum kits in a completely new sonar project, no other tracks and it works fine. It must be just it won't load on projects with lots of tracks and soft synths. Is there anything I can do to allocate more 'breathing space' for these larger projects?
    How am I supposed to record my 20 minute progressive rock epics!
